North Branford Congregational Church, United Church of Christ
Outreach
Our members are active in several community organizations serving both North Branford, and the Greater New Haven area. We welcome anyone to join us in these endeavors.
For many years, North Branford Congregational Church has been home to the North Branford Food Bank, collecting and distributing non-perishable food items to area residents. This volunteer organization provides food and grocerie items all year round, including holiday dinner packages, to families in need--no questions asked. The foodbank is open from 1-4 pm on Fridays.
Christian Outreach Program Ecumenical. Open your hands, your mind and your spirit in this moment. You will find all the proper tools for COPING. God has the unbroken habit of fulfilling you. COPE is a spiritual outreach support group for all, including those with a life-altering condition. Whatever your personal need, come join us. We meet every Wednesday in the North Branford Congregational Church Chapel at 1:00 pm.
The Community Dining Room is committed to serving the community by feeding the hungry and helping with other basic human needs. We strive to promote public awareness of the impact of hunger and isolation in our society. We are dedicated to helping our guests with their practical needs through referrals and fellowship. The Community Dining Room serves the south-central Connecticut shoreline from East Haven to Old Saybrook including the towns of Branford, North Branford, East Haven, Guilford, and Madison. Our church has been involved with this organization for many years. For more information, go to www.communitydiningroom.org.
Twice a year, the Ladies Sewing Society hosts an American Red Cross Blood drive in fellowship hall. For more information go to www.givelife.org.
